Description
This rolled lead flashing is designed for use in areas where water ingress is high risk. Areas such as around chimneys, dormer or bay windows, and gutters are all susceptible to water damage if not properly sealed with a tried and tested material. Flashings made from plastic and bitumen can become brittle over time, leading to water ingress that can cause substantial damage to the roof structure. Using lead flashing ensures a watertight home for years to come.
Codes relate to the thickness of the lead which means the code needed will depend on the application for which the lead is used. Code 8 lead is designed for use on lead soakers, flashings, flat roofing, valley gutters, pitched roofs, vertical cladding, and dormers.
Durable and versatile, the lead is highly malleable, making it wonderful to work with. This also ensures it can expand and contract with a building, easily handling any fluctuations in temperature. Manufacturers, ALM, are so confident in their Enviro Lead that they even offer a fifty-year warranty. They have been awarded A and A+ Green Guide ratings and their lead flashing is made from 100% recyclable materials.
